What UAE banks say about their statements
- Emirates NBD →
Emirates NBD's account e-statement password is your CIF ID: the middle 8 digits of your account number.
- ADCB →
ADCB emails a monthly e-statement and offers a PDF download; convert it to Excel or CSV.
- First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) →
FAB's account e-statement password is the last 4 digits of the account number plus DDMM of your birthday.
- Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) →
DIB statements download as PDF from online banking; the emailed Interactive eStatement embeds a PDF.
- RAKBANK →
RAKBANK publishes its e-statement password rules: card digits or account-name letters, plus DDMM.
- Emirates Islamic →
Emirates Islamic e-statements are password protected, and the email that delivers yours explains how to open it.
- Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) →
ADIB's account e-statement password is the first 4 letters of your name, in lowercase, plus your birth date as DDMMYY.
- Mashreq →
Mashreq emails a monthly e-statement to your registered address, for accounts and for cards.
Each page quotes the bank’s own website, with the link. Any other UAE bank works too: MyFulus reads the statement itself, so there is no list of supported banks. It is not connected to, partnered with or endorsed by any bank.
What to know before you convert
- Amounts: stay in AED exactly as printed, in the statement's own currency. Nothing is converted between currencies.
- Dates: you choose DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD before you download, so the file matches what your software expects.
- Arabic: Arabic descriptions stay exactly as printed, and the Excel file opens right to left when most of its lines are Arabic. Tested on bilingual statements and an Arabic-only CSV; a PDF printed wholly in Arabic has not been tested.
- Scans: it reads digital PDF and CSV files, so a scan or a photo of a paper statement will not work.
Other ways to convert it
Some tools fit other needs better: one that runs only in your browser, ones that read scans, and ones built for accounting firms. Compare converters side by side, with the prices and limits from each product’s own site.
How the conversion is checked
Most statements print a running balance beside each line, an opening and a closing balance, or totals for the period. Every converted line has to agree with them exactly. If they agree, you see that it was checked; if they do not, you see which lines to compare with your statement, on screen and in the Excel file. If a statement prints none of them, you are told it could not be checked. See an example.
Quick answers
What is the best bank statement converter for UAE banks?
It depends on what you need. Free with no limits and read in your browser first: StatementEasy. If the file must not leave your device: BayanSheet. For Zoho Books, or nothing kept even when a read fails: MyFulus, which we make. If it is a scan: StatementEasy, QuickTax, StatementEdge or DocuClipper. Our comparison at myfulus.com/compare has their prices and links to their own pages.
Which UAE banks does it work with?
Any bank that lets you download a statement as a PDF or CSV, including Emirates NBD, ADCB, FAB, DIB, RAKBANK, Emirates Islamic, ADIB and Mashreq. MyFulus reads the document itself rather than a template for each bank, so there is no list of supported banks.
Do I need an account?
No. 3 statements a day of up to 10 pages each need no account and no email, in every format. The statement is read in memory and never saved, and the converted lines are deleted after 60 minutes, or as soon as you press Delete.
